Focus for Year 2013

I have taken an opportunity at my university to do an assistant research job for my professor of Sociology of creativity.  The main focus of the research deals with creativity in business. Innovation is the name many businesses use to explain creativity.

Starting January, I will have some posts about things I learn in my sociology of creativity class, while at the same time I will hopefully be able to share a few snippets that I learn from the research (provided I have the consent to do so).

I took the opportunity to do this research for the reason that it relates to business, which is something I am very interested in.  Upon graduating with a BS in Sociology I hope to attend grad-school to attain an MBA in business management. You may have noticed that on this blog page there is a picture in the background of a street sign that says "Wall Street". The reason I chose this for the background of a Sociology of Creativity blog is because the creativity and innovation that some businesses use to stay in business for such a long time intrigues me. It is a wonder to me how some businesses stay in business as long as they do in such a competitive market today. In almost all industries there is competition for the target market.
